Dr. Shihua Brazill, P.E.O. Scholar (she/her/hers). Dr. Brazil is the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) specialist and instructional designer at Montana State University where she also teaches Multicultural Education. She holds a PhD degree in Adult and Higher Education as well as a graduate certificate in College Teaching. Her multicultural experiences have shaped her scholarship to build a more just society through improved educational success for diverse students and helping dominant groups practice multicultural inclusion. She has published articles and book chapters on social justice, multicultural education, diversity and identity, curriculum design, SoTL, online teaching pedagogy, and translation studies. She provides support and mentoring to faculty through workshops and programs on UDL, accessibility, course redesign, inclusive teaching, and trauma informed pedagogy.
