Melissa Stoffers

Melissa began her collegiate studies at Rowan University where she received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Collaborative Education and American Studies. Melissa continued her education at Rowan University, receiving a Master of Science in Teaching degree in Collaborative Education. After graduating from Rowan, Melissa worked as a special education teacher in Pennsylvania and New Jersey public schools. The majority of her career was spent in Cherry Hill Public Schools in Cherry Hill, New Jersey where Melissa worked with elementary and middle school special education students. Melissa holds teaching certifications in the areas of Elementary Education, Special Education, Teacher of Reading, Middle School Language Arts, Middle School Social Studies, and Middle School Math. Melissa’s research interests include social-emotional learning, instructional strategies to support students of all learning abilities and cultural backgrounds, and the development of gender identity and its impact in the classroom.
