Last year three instructional routines were identified to enhance universal design in the universal chaos of the pandemic. These routines focus on consistency, communication, and student choice. The aftermath of this approach will now be reported. The utilization of these instructional design routines were implemented in approximately 10 courses in the last academic year. All students who enrolled in a course with these routines were surveyed after the conclusion of their class. The survey asked students to reflect on the instructional design, course materials, implementation of UDL, and impact on learning compared to other online learning experiences.
