Honoring Identities: Examining Intersectionality and UDL in Higher Education

Friday, April 1st, 1:00-2:00pm ET

Drawing on research findings and expertise, the co-presenters will engage attendees in exploring the unique barriers that have been observed in institutions of higher education. In our presentation, developing awareness of how multiple identities intersect is considered to be a precursor to UDL and to understanding our students so that we may better serve them in an intentional and proactive fashion. Through multiple means of action and expression, attendees will be guided to explore prompts around increasing awareness for the need of UDL in a way that honors intersectionality in students, faculty, and staff and is sensitive, impactful, and meaningful.
