Amy is in her 6th year as an Instructional Coach for the Adapting Curriculum and Classroom Environments for Student Success (ACCESS) Project at the Center for Disabilities Studies at the University of Delaware. In collaboration with the Delaware Department of Education, she provides professional development and technical assistance to educators throughout the state of Delaware in Universal Design for Learning. This includes leading implementation of UDL in seven schools, developing and facilitating learning cohorts around UDL and early literacy, and workshops that focus on the introduction and advanced knowledge of UDL. Before joining the ACCESS Project, Amy has worked as a special educator for almost 20 years teaching students taking the general and alternate assessments in an inclusive environment.
